Pearson’s Life in Cycling

Began my cycling journey in sixth grade when I joined NICA. From the very first ride I fell in love with the sport, the freedom of the trail, the technical challenge, and the camaraderie of teammates. Those early seasons laid the foundation for both my skills and my character: I learned discipline, resilience, and how to push through setbacks.

While at Radnor High School in Wayne, PA, I grew into a highly competitive rider - dedicating myself to training, refining my skills, race strategy, and consistently seeking out tougher competition. Racing became more than a hobby; it became a central part of who I am and how I set goals and measured progress.

Competing on the mountain bike national series pushed me to higher performance standards and exposed me to a broader community of elite athletes. Parallel to pursuing racing at the national level, I chose to continue my development in college by joining a collegiate racing program at Piedmont University lead by head coach Jame Carney. Racing in college has allowed me to balance academic goals with athletic ambition, continue improving as a cyclist, and keep growing as a person both on and off the bike.
